We are an eco friendly dive outfit. Our female instructor has been diving and instructing in Dahab for 6 years. She is passionate about the reef and its protection. This is why the Diving Diva has a maximum dive group of 5 persons. We have also got together with a marine biologist to offer specialist lectures on the reef as well as the PADI Reef aware course.  A  5 euro charge is pre-included in dive packages and used to finance environmental lectures to the children and adults in the local community.

Advanced diver Louise learned to dive in Dahab in February 2007  and fell in love with Dahab. A social worker by training she wanted to put something back into the community in Dahab. The villa rent includes a 15 euro fee that goes to the local school for equipment and books. The villa has some bedouin handicrafts and local art- with directions of where you can purchase these at a fair price.

We have a local bedouin housekeeper who is paid a fair wage and can make you bedouin tea and bread one afternoon for a small fee. We employ bedouin drivers to get to dive sites and for the airport transport.

The Diving Diva is an active member of the "I Love Dahab Clean" project. Refuse collection and recycling have been poor to non existent. I Love Dahab Clean is taking the refuse collection from the local government and employing a company to provide these services. Plastic bottle littering is a big issue- the house fee includes your drinking water for a week in large recyclable bottles.  The Diva  also provides biodegradable toiletries and cleaning materials.

We welcome everyone to Dahab and hope you come to love it as much as we do. Dahab is a laid back town with a ethos of peace. We also welcome women and gay divers to a safe environment.
